Evidence quality matters more than fluent summaries. SourcingOS is designed to preserve where a claim came from and to distinguish observed evidence from inference or recruiter confirmation.

Public evidence
A source directly shows the information being cited—for example, a public project, work-history entry, publication, profile field, or professional page.
Inference
An inference is a reasoned conclusion from evidence, not a fact. It should remain visibly labeled and should not be promoted to verified status without appropriate confirmation.
Missing evidence
Absence of public evidence is not proof that the candidate lacks a skill or qualification. Missing evidence should become a verification question when the requirement matters.
Recruiter confirmation
Recruiter-confirmed information should be distinguishable from public or provider-derived data so later reviewers know why the system believes a claim.
