SourcingOS treats every provider or public surface as a source observation, not as truth by default. The product keeps provenance attached so recruiters can see what a source can support, what it cannot prove, and where coverage is incomplete.

Public URLs remain attached to the underlying evidence wherever the source permits it. If the product cannot support a claim from the returned evidence, that claim should remain unknown rather than be inferred into fact.
Source evidence is not verification
A public profile can support a breadcrumb about work, skills, publications, projects, or self-stated credentials. It does not independently verify current clearance, work authorization, employment, identity, availability, or permission to contact.
Restricted sources stay recruiter-controlled
No LinkedIn scraping. No Indeed scraping. No ClearanceJobs scraping. No paid resume-database scraping, and no background automation behind login walls.
For restricted or recruiter-owned systems, SourcingOS can create strategy and search queries for you to run under your own account and the source's terms. The product labels those lanes as guided rather than pretending it executed them.
User-imported and connected data
Data you are entitled to import or connect remains distinguishable from open-web evidence. Provenance, source authority, and uncertainty should survive enrichment and canonicalization instead of disappearing into one flattened profile.
