How to interpret an AI-generated search plan
An AI search plan is a proposal for how to discover evidence. The recruiter should be able to see which elements are literal requirements, equivalent normalizations, discovery expansions, and questions that still need clarification.

Literal requirements remain the anchor
The role artifact should preserve what the recruiter or hiring team actually requested before any AI expansion occurs.
Normalizations should be equivalent
Equivalent names such as RHEL and Red Hat Enterprise Linux can improve recall without changing meaning. Related but broader technologies should remain discovery expansions.
Adjacent titles are search hypotheses
Platform Engineer, Systems Engineer, or Infrastructure Engineer can be useful search paths for some roles, but title adjacency should not silently become candidate-fit evidence.
Approve the strategy, not hidden assumptions
When an AI-generated lane, geography expansion, or donor-company hypothesis materially changes the search, the recruiter should be able to inspect and adjust it.
